We hold seminars for undergraduate students in 3rd and 4th periods on Fridays and for graduate students in 6th period on Fridays. We would like to work with students who meet (or are willing to meet) the following requirements

• Able to implement Python using Google Colabratory and other tools
• Carefully read and understand the following books
  • T. Nakanishi, Mathematical Foundations for Data Scientists, Science, 2024.
  • T. Nakanishi, Python Hands-on for Beginning Linear Algebra, Morikita Publishing, 2021.

• Applicants who wish to study music media content and audio should have some knowledge of music notation and skills in using music21 and librosa.
• Applicants who wish to conduct research on image media content (including moving images) should have skills in using PILLOW and CV2.
• Those who wish to study explainable AI or AIME will be required to sign a written pledge that includes a confidentiality agreement. In addition, those who wish to study AIME will be required to learn the inverse of linear algebra, singular value decomposition, and Moore-Penrose generalized inverse.
• Applicants who wish to do research on text data should have a rudimentary knowledge of text mining and skills in using MeCab, GinZA, nltk, transformers, and OpenAI libraries.
• We will hold intensive summer courses to acquire essential skills and a camp for friendship, so please enjoy yourselves.
• As you can see from the list of papers, students (both undergraduate and graduate) who are motivated and advanced in their research can dream of publishing papers abroad.

Contact will contact you once to discuss the research theme, and once the research theme has been decided, you will be asked to submit a joint research application form. Please note that you will be asked to pay a joint research fee that includes the cost of purchasing a computer and other necessary expenses, as well as the cost of presenting the research results. The cost will vary depending on the research theme, whether or not students and faculty members can participate, the duration, etc. Please consult with us at the time of the meeting.

Normally, undergraduate students have seminars in 3rd and 4th periods on Fridays and graduate students have seminars in 6th period on Fridays, but there are some irregularities such as during summer/winter/spring break periods. Also, some of the contents of the seminar are confidential to the companies with which we collaborate, so please be sure to contact us through Contact and come to the seminar, so that we can arrange a system in advance and invite you to the seminar.
